3 New Year’s Eve Glitter Looks

Whether your 2021 was as chaotic as your 2020, you met major goals, or landed somewhere in between, the new year is a great time to celebrate. And what's a better way to ring in the new year than with some iconic glitter makeup? We get it — glitter can be intimidating, so if you are searching for some makeup inspo and easy how-to's, read on! 

Glitter Brows

New Year's Eve is a perfect night to give glitter eyebrows a try if you haven’t before. Luckily, we've made it easy to create this style. 

First, apply an eyebrow wax or gel to your eyebrows. Make sure your eyebrows are clean and makeup-free when doing this step. Our Browzy Brow Gel is ideal for this, because it’s long-lasting, but is a soft-hold gel so it doesn’t get brittle. 

Once you brush your eyebrows to your desired fluffiness, it’s time to apply glitter. Our Aura Glitter is great for eyebrows and is easy to use. Dab it on with either your finger or use a small eyeshadow brush. Our Aura Glitter in Silver is a classic NYE color to try. Or, pay homage to Pantone’s 2022 color of the year and try the shade Moondust!

Glitter Accents
Make your own rules with this one. Anywhere you want to create an accent or drama, trust what you’re feeling and follow it. 

You can make an elongated cat eye, and extend your glitter along your temples. Add some glitter to the natural highlights of your face, like above your eyebrow arch, or on your cupid's bow. Create glitter tears below your eyes, for that (happy) tearful goodbye to 2021.

Glitter Liner

Glitter liner is excellent if you want subtler glitter. It’s buildable, so you have the most control over how much glitter you apply. 

Apply eyeshadow as a base, and then top it with one of our Universal Liners for a high-pigmented look. If you want to draw in abundance and prosperity for the new year, use our Universal Liner in shade Area 51. Make your liner pop by applying Galatea from our Otherworldly Palette underneath.

If you prefer a hint of glitter, go for the classic cat-eye. If you want more flair, create geometric shapes with your liner.
